1. The Service
AssistMate provides AI-generated feedback on application essays and related academic writing. Feedback is produced by large language models and is intended as a writing aid, not as professional admissions, legal, medical, or financial advice.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
3. Credits and Subscriptions
- Credit packs are one-time purchases that grant a fixed number of feedback credits.
- Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled.
- Pricing, included credits, and plan features are described on the pricing page.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harassing content.
- Generate or distribute malware, spam, or fraudulent content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
- Misrepresent AI-generated text as your own where doing so would violate the rules of a school, employer, publisher, or other institution.
- Submit personal data of third parties without a lawful basis.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the essays and inputs you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them strictly to deliver and improve the Service. AssistMate, our logos, and the Service software are our property and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
6. AI Output Disclaimer
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any output before relying on it. We make no guarantee about admissions outcomes or grades.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssistMate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
